Nemanja Sonero
I grew up in a broken family, in a broken country. As a kid, I lived through two wars. During the second, I spent months in a bomb shelter. In the '90s, there wasn't always food on the table. And still, somewhere underneath all of it, I believed that I would rise, and that one day my passion would be the center of my life, not just survival.
The moment the war ended, I started teaching. I got into martial arts. I started building community, because on some level I already knew this was my path. Despite the pain, the abuse I went through, the bullying at school, and a country where most people around me felt there was no future worth planning for, I found my way by strengthening my spirit, my body, and my mind. I made it my mission to master my own emotional and verbal expression, so I could actually thrive, not just get by.
That mastery carried a curiosity with it too, one that started young, reading my father's Third Eye magazines as a kid. It carried me through the shamanic traditions of Africa and Latin America, and the eastern philosophies of India and China.
All of it, the discipline, the spiritual work, the embodiment and movement practices, brought me to where I am now. For the past 26 years, I've taught over 100,000 people in person and reached millions more online. As I spoke passionately to life, life answered passionately back.

My relationship is the greatest love story I've ever written: a living, embodied example of what's possible when two souls meet and do their inner work.
Nicole and I have been together for eight years. We're raising our daughter, and building our lives around doing the work we're each called to do.
We've traveled the world together, and done deep inner work side by side, each of us bringing our own traditions and practices into what we've built. We've had real struggles too, the kind that could have ended things. Every time, we found our way back to each other, and learned to thrive from that place instead of just surviving it.
We call what we've built a sacred union: not about you or me, but about what the relationship itself needs to thrive.
That takes deep connection, love, trust, and safety, the foundation of any relationship. But just as much, it takes clear communication, real agreements, and structure. That's what actually makes it work, day after day.
